We treat both patients with private health insurance and those who are self-paying. We will of course advise you on a case-by-case basis and explain the costs incurred.
Typical charges for consultations are listed below for your information:
New patient consultation (75-90 minutes) - £250
Follow up consultation (30minutes) - £125
Supplimentary phone consultation/discussion - usually no charge

The Leicester Independent Memory Clinic is provided by Dr Richard Prettyman, a consultant Old Age Psychiatrist who has over twenty years experience working in this field.
Dr Prettyman graduated from Leicester Medical School in 1985 and completed General Practice training and basic professional training in Psychiatry in Leicester. Between 1992 and 1995 he was Lecturer in Health Care of the Elderly in Nottingham, undertaking research concerning dementia and ageing and completing his specialist training.
Since 1996 Dr Prettyman has been a consultant Old Age Psychiatrist in Leicester and he currently holds an honorary Senior Lecturer appointment with the University of Leicester. His clinical and research interests focus particularly on Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
